New releases + Vivapedia is moving!

A lot has been happening in the Mini Viva world recently, so it’s a shame to see this poor old site hasn’t been updated in four months! You’ll already know the big news if you follow the girls’ Facebooks and/or Twitters, but if you don’t – well, go do so now, of course, and then have a read of the summary below.

On with the news!

• The first official Mini Viva-related release since ‘One Touch‘ is coming on 31st October – Britt has contributed her vocals to the Monarchy track ‘You Don’t Want To Dance With Me’, a slice of classy, modern electro-pop about love ignored. She also has a starring role in the sleek new music video, which you can find below:

• Frankee’s first solo snippets have arrived – you’ll find two new goodies over at facebook.com/frankeeofficial, along with several new promotional images. More will be coming soon, so be sure to give that page a good Liking!
• In Vivapedia news, the site will be transferring to MiniViva.co.uk in the near future. You’ll be able to access the Vivapedia from MiniViva.org until January 2012. I’ll also be adding various bits and pieces over the coming weeks to make up for my laziness.
• And finally – in news perhaps too important to be relegated to the bottom of the pile – I heard ‘One Touch’ in the Card Factory last Thursday. It made me very happy. That is all.

New Vivapedia

Welcome back to Vivapedia.

Although Mini Viva split almost a year ago, this website was intended to stay up as a fan dedication to the amazing work Frankee, Britt and the Xenomania team created during 2008 to 2010. However, after moving to MediaWiki, the site was left with only a few dozen pages still online – barely anything compared to the WordPress version of old! I did intend to update the site, but frankly, the MediaWiki interface put me right off whenever I tried. With the leak of ‘Here 2 Party’ – go check out the previous post if you haven’t heard it – I was reminded of the love all of us had for the group, and I knew I had to do some (late) spring cleaning to get the site back up to standards.

Let’s be clear – I won’t be updating the blog from now on except for big news, such as new songs (including solo stuff) or, possibly, monthly round-ups, BUT I will be adding new content in the background whenever I have the time. What I’d like is for the site to be a place where any future Mini Viva/Xenomania/pop music fans will be able to visit to find out more about the group and help keep their music alive for as long as possible. New Mini Viva song: Here 2 Party

A new leaked Mini Viva track has appeared on the web.

The song, titled ‘Here 2 Party’, appeared on the internet on May 25th 2011. From what has been gathered, the song was produced by Xenomania sometime in 2008.
